Description

What makes this guitar special: A full bodied dreadnought with a massive tone and ample projection. This piece has aged beautifully, with all the right wear and a classic vintage look. The sunburst finish has really matured nicely, with an absolutely gorgeous color blend across the entire top, and a rich tone that can only come from aged hardwoods. It’s in great shape for its age too, with a ton of life ahead of it. As with all our pieces, it comes professionally setup and inspected by our expert in-house luthier, ready to play right out of the case.

Cosmetic condition: Signs of playwear throughout, but nothing too egregious. Various scratches, dents, dings, nicks, chips, scuffs, and areas of finish wear, with abundant finish checking throughout. There is one area on the back of the neck heel that appears to have been chipped away at, but this is purely cosmetic and not structural. Nut appears to be a replacement as well. Frets show visible wear but still have a good amount of life left in them, and all notes intonate properly up and down the length of the fingerboard.

Body: Solid double-bound mahogany back and sides with spruce top in eye-popping sunburst finish. Multi-ring ivoroid/black rosette. Replacement black pickguard. Rosewood bridge with wooden saddle and replacement pearl inlaid black bridge pins. Lower bout width measures 16” across with 5” depth. Upper bout width measures 12” across with 4” depth.

Weight: 5 lb, 4.3 oz

Neck: Comfortable C-shaped mahogany neck with white side dots and pearl dot inlays. Nicely variegated rosewood fingerboard is in great shape with almost no visible signs of wear, and while frets show visible wear, they still have a good amount of life left in them. 1 11/16” nut width, 24 3/4" scale length. Headstock sports a mother-of-pearl Gibson logo with replacement Grover tuners (holes from the originals have been filled) in perfect working condition. Neck is bone straight and plays wonderfully up and down the length of the fretboard, with low, perfect action.

Case: Original hard shell case included.
