Description

Description: 1972 Martin D-18 dreadnought acoustic guitar in natural finish.

Cosmetic Condition: Cool vintage vibe - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches, weather checking & some finish blemishes. The original pickguard was lifting up a bit & has been replaced with a new one.  However, the original pickguard is included with the guitar.  The current photos show the guitar with the original guard, but it has since been replaced.  Overall the guitar has a great look to is with a gorgeous patina.

Neck: Soft V-shaped mahogany neck with cream side-dots. Nicely figured rosewood fingerboard with pearloid dot inlays. Frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Grover Pat Pend tuners in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length.

Body: Solid spruce top with solid mahogany back & sides. Rosewood bridge with black pins.  The back of the bridge was lifting a little bit so our luthier professionally re-glued it.  He did a great job & the guitar now looks great!

Playability / Sound:  Nice, low action - neck plays great & is very comfortable.  The guitar has a sweet, rich tone with a beautiful resonance.

Case: Original hardshell case included.
