What makes this guitar special: A dynamite player with an ultra cool vintage vibe! It's pretty obvious this guitar spent the majority of its life in bars & clubs - the original white finish has aged beautifully into yellow with lots of nice variegation throughout, but there's no offensive odor. The neck profile is perfect & with the pro refret, the guitar plays like a dream. Professionally set up & ready to rock straight out of the case!
Cosmetic Condition: Good honest play wear, just the way we like 'em - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches, weather checking, finish wear & tarnished hardware. No breaks or repairs. Overall the guitar has a great look to it with a gorgeous patina!
Neck: Slender profile mahogany neck with nicely aged cream binding & black side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl block inlays. Professionally refretted with bigger sized frets - they feel like medium jumbos. The frets do show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Multi-bound headstock with split-diamond inlay. Kluson "waffle back" tuners are in perfect working condition. They are all original aside from the G tuner, which was missing when we acquired the guitar. We ordered a set of brand new ones & the remaining five are included with the guitar. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod is in good working condition.
Body: Solid mahogany "sandwich" body with maple cap. Multi-bound top & back. Stopbar tailpiece & ABR-1 bridge with gold hardware. 5-ply small black pickguard is in great shape with no cracks. Guitar weighs 9 lbs 11.1 oz.
Pickups: Gibson Pat No. "T-Top" humbuckers with black bezels. Bridge - 7.45K ohms; Neck - 6.99K ohms. Both pickup covers have been removed, but one is included with the guitar. The other is missing. Dual volume & tone controls with gold "top hat" knobs. A small portion of the skirt on one of the volume knobs has chipped off. The jackplate is cream & should be black. Pots date to '73 & all electronics are in good working condition.
