Description

What Makes This Guitar Special: More and more we’re finding new, high-end acoustic guitar makers guilty of producing instruments that are, “all show, and no go.” Whether its tone woods being sourced from old-growth forests, the magic of aging, or the bygone builders with knowhow that’s been lost over the years- these older acoustics really are in a league of their own. Here’s a wonderful example of a dreadnought with tasteful aesthetic appointments that don’t cross into gaudy. Great projection, clarity, and single note definition are the hallmarks of the sound. Very significantly, as well- this fantastic Guild will be arriving to you fully set-up by the experts at Cream City Music and will be ready to be enjoyed right out of the box.

Cosmetic Condition: Light surface scratches, very light nicks, and a chip toward the base of the top. There is a gouge where a third fret side dot marker would be, and the finish between the 2nd and 3rd frets on the back of the neck has worn through (see photo.) Despite what may read like a long list of flaws, this instrument still presents well and is in overall good condition for its age.

Neck: Medium profile mahogany with rosewood fingerboard. Pearloid dot inlays as well as pearloid side dot markers. 20 frets are very clean, show little wear, and have lots of life left in them. Chrome Guild tuners work perfectly. 1 11/16” nut width, 25.5” scale length. The neck is straight and the truss rod has been tested and is functioning correctly.

Body: Solid mahogany back and sides, solid Sitka spruce top. Double binding, multi layered rosette, tortoise pickguard. Rosewood bridge, white bridge pins with abalone inlays. Guitar weighs 4lbs 10.8 oz.

Case: Vintage, non-original Guild hardshell case included.
