What makes this guitar special: Super cool vintage vibe & a dynamite player with superb tone. The slender profile neck is very comfortable to play for long periods of time & the contoured body makes the guitar rather light weight at under 8 lbs. The pair of Wide Range humbuckers sound magnificent & deliver rich, powerful sounds. The guitar has been professionally set up by our luthier so it plays & sounds amazing!
Cosmetic Condition: Good honest play wear for a guitar that's over 40 years old - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches, weather checking & some finish blemishes. Four small holes were drilled into the pickguard/body - two are on either side of the bridge & the other two are near the tone knob. Not sure what that's all about. There are also five extra holes in the front of the headstock - perhaps the previous owner was attempting to reposition the string trees, but again not totally sure. Overall the guitar has a great look to it with a gorgeous patina & all components are in perfect working condition.
Neck: Slender profile maple neck with black dot inlays. Original frets show some light wear & have plenty of life in them. Strat-style headstock with bullet truss rod & double string trees. The headstock decals are in great shape with no bits missing. Original Fender tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 5/8" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine. Neck stamp dates to '73; neck plate serial dates to '74.
Body: Contoured, solid ash body finished in Mocha Brown. String-thru bridge with adjustable saddles. 3-ply black pickguard is in good condition with some pick scratches & the aforementioned tiny holes. Guitar weighs 7 lbs 14.4 oz.
Pickups: Original Fender Wide Range humbuckers. Bridge - 10.17K ohms; Neck - 10.33K ohms. Dual volume & tone controls with black "witch hat" knobs; 3-way toggle switch. Pots date to '73 & '74. All electronics are in good working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included. A portion of the Fender logo is missing on the outside of the case, but the case is in great shape overall.
