Description
What makes this guitar special: 100% original & in great shape for its age. The double Guild humbuckers sound amazing & the phase switch is a nice bonus feature. Gorgeous tone & texture with a groovy vintage vibe. Professionally inspected by the experts at Cream City Music & set up by our own luthier, so it plays & sounds fantastic!
Cosmetic Condition: Really nice shape for its age with some mild play wear - various minor nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches & light finish wear. The binding has yellowed somewhat over the years & there is a faint nicotine odor to the guitar, but it's not overtly offensive & seems pretty old, which means it could disappear over time. Some polish may even take some of it out as well. Overall the guitar has a wonderful, gently used look to it with a gorgeous patina.
Neck: Slender profile mahogany neck with cream binding & black side-dots. Super dark rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl block inlays. Frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Mother of pearl Guild & Chesterfield headstock inlays. Guild embossed Schaller tuners are in perfect working condition. There's a very old music shop decal on the back of the headstock which we decided to leave alone. 1 5/8" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss functions fine.
Body: Single cutaway, solid mahogany body with 5-ply top binding. Stop tailpiece & six-saddle adjustable bridge with chrome hardware. 3-ply b/w/b pickguard is in great shape with no cracks. Guitar weighs 7 lbs 9.7 oz.
Pickups: Guild humbuckers with black bezels. Bridge - 6.95K ohms; Neck - 7.75K ohms. Dual volume & tone controls with Guild logo knobs; master volume; 3-way pickup selector switch & 2-way mini toggle for phase shifting. All electronics are original & in perfect working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included. The handle broke off quite some time ago & there's red rope in its place. Overall the case is in great shape, but also has a faint nicotine odor. Hopefully that will clear up over time.
