Description

What makes this bass special:  True vintage Ric 4001 bass in that stylish Jetglo finish.  This one's a real road warrior - the treble side wing of the body was severely cracked some time ago & was professionally glued together - quite a battle scar indeed, but way cool & very punk looking!  Professionally set up by us so it plays & sounds fantastic!

Cosmetic Condition:  Cool vintage look with various nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches & repaired body crack.

Neck:  Maple neck with nicely aged cream binding & black side-dots.  Beautiful rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl triangle inlays.  Frets show some light wear, but have plenty of life in them.  Schaller open-gear tuners are in perfect working condition.  The A-string tuner has a replacement screw in the back.  1 5/8" nut width; 33 1/4" scale length.  Neck is straight & truss rods are in good working condition.

Body:  Neck-thru body design with solid maple wings.  Top-loading bridge with adjustable saddles.  Single-ply, white plexi pickguard is in great shape with no cracks.  Bass weighs 9 lbs 2.7 oz.

Pickups:  Original Ric single coil bass pickups.  Dual volume & tone controls; 3-way toggle switch; mono & stereo outputs.  Pots date to '74 & all electronics are in good working condition.

Case:  Original hardshell case included.
