Description

What makes this bass/amp combo special:  We recently acquired this sweet Musicmaster Bass & matching amp from the original owner, so rather than splitting them up, we decided to sell them together as a package.  They've been lifelong buddies for the past forty odd years so it seemed a shame for them to part ways.  Both are in great shape & have been professionally inspected & set up.  The amp actually comes with its original owners manual.

Cosmetic Condition:  Both are in really nice shape for their ages with typical modest play wear.  The bass shows minor nicks, dents & dings; surface scratches & some mild weather checking.  The Olympic White finish has aged beautifully into more of a banana cream color & shows off a gorgeous patina.  The amp is in similar condition, with some light stains in the grille cloth.  The amp was just recently re-coned, but aside from that both items are all original & fully functioning.  Not to mention they look fabulous together.

Neck:  Nicely rounded maple neck with black side-dots.  Beautiful, dark rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays.  Frets are in great shape with no wear.  Headstock decals are in great shape.  Open-back nickel tuners are in perfect working condition.  1 5/8" nut width; 30" scale length.  Neck is straight & truss rod is in good working condition.  Neck dates to '75.

Body:  Solid poplar body finished in Olympic White.  Top-loading bridge with two adjustable bar saddles.  3-ply white pickguard with black thumb-rest.  Bass weighs 7 lbs 0.8 oz.

Electronics:  Grey bottom single coil pickup with black cover - 5.59K ohms.  The pickup dates to '75.  Master volume & tone controls with black knobs.  Both pots date to '74 & all electronics are in perfect working condition.

Case:  Original chipboard case included.

Amp:  The amp is also in perfect working condition & features dual inputs with master volume & tone controls.  Single 12" speaker dates to '74.  Output transformer dates to '73 & the power transformer dates to '76.  Despite the disparity in years of the various components, everything appears to be original to the amp.  It has been tested & is fully functioning.  Dimensions are 20 1/4" x 17" x 9 1/2" & it weighs about 22 lbs.
