What makes this guitar special: A killer sounding hardtail Strat with an ultra cool, true vintage vibe to it. Finished in Olympic White that has aged nicely over the years & turned into more of a cream color. Original grey bottom single coils deliver gorgeous, bell-like tones that seem to ring for days. The only mod is the original 3-way selector switch was swapped to 5-way, but the original is included with the guitar!
Cosmetic Condition: Good, honest play wear, just the way we like 'em - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches, weather checking & some finish wear. The Olympic White finish has yellowed over the years & shows off some nice variegation throughout. Overall the guitar has a great look to it with a beautiful patina.
Neck: Nicely rounded maple neck with "skunk stripe" & black dot inlays. The bullet truss rod is loosened all the way, but there's still a bit of back bow in the neck. The guitar is playable, but not quite as precise as a brand new Strat or one with a perfectly straight neck. That aside, the neck is very comfortable & still quite playable. Oversize headstock with double string trees. Headstock decals are very clean with no bits missing. F tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 5/8" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length.
Body: Contoured, solid alder body finished in Olympic White. Hardtail, string-thru bridge with adjustable saddles. 3-ply white pickguard is in great shape with no cracks & has aged nicely over the years. Guitar weighs 7 lbs 3.9 oz.
Pickups: Original grey-bottom single coils all date to '75. Bridge - 5.17K ohms; Middle - 5.80K ohms; Neck - 5.66K ohms. Master volume & dual tone controls with white skirted knobs. Two of the knobs have faded quite dramatically, but all appear to be original to the guitar. As previously mentioned the original 3-way selector switch was changed to a 5-way, but the original is included with the guitar. Pots date to '75 & all electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Fender plastic injection mould hardshell case included. The case has some decals on the outside, but is in good condition otherwise.
