The natural finish has aged marvelously into a mellow, golden color & the double humbuckers are simply wicked. The coil splitter adds a bit of extra flavor & the neck is a player's dream. Cosmetic Condition: She's been out on the road & it shows - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches, buckle rash & finish wear. No cracks, breaks or repairs. Overall the guitar has a great look to it with a gorgeous patina.
Neck: Slender profile maple neck with nicely aged cream binding & black side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl block inlays. Original frets show some wear, but still have plenty of life in them. Multi-bound headstock with diamond inlays. Vintage gold Schaller tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" nut width with a second brass nut inserted; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Solid mahogany "sandwich" body with plain maple top. Stopbar tailpiece with Tune-O-Matic bridge & graphite saddles. Original 5-ply, black pickguard is in great shape with no cracks. Black strap locks. Guitar weighs 10.65 lbs - hefty, but resonant.
Pickups: Exposed coil Gibson humbuckers. T-Top neck pickup - 7.41K ohms and a more modern Gibson USA bridge humbucker - 8.46K ohms. Dual volume & tone controls with gold speed knobs; 3-way toggle switch & coil splitter. Pots date to '76 & all electronics are in good working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included. Two of the latches are broken, but the other two are fine & keep the case closed when necessary.
