What makes this bass special: 100% original, super clean bass that was just recently acquired from the original owner who absolutely babied it. The Thunderbird pickguard logo is still very strong & vibrant with no fading whatsoever. Killer tone & feel with perfect action. Professionally set up Cream City Music, so it plays & sounds dynamite!
Cosmetic Condition: Superb condition & very clean for being nearly 40 years old. There are various minor nicks & dings throughout the bass along with a few small chips in the headstock, but overall it's in great shape. Light surface scratches & very mild buckle rash.
Neck: Super skinny mahogany/walnut laminate neck with cream side-dots. Rosewood fingerboard with pearloid dot inlays. Frets are in great shape with no real wear. Open-gear, reverse tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 1/2" nut width; 34" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod is in perfect working condition.
Body: Neck-thru body design with solid mahogany wings. Three-point, top-loading bridge with adjustable saddles & original cover. 3-ply white pickguard with blue & red Thunderbird 76 logo. The guard is in great shape with no cracks. Bass weighs 9 lbs 6.8 oz.
Pickups: Dual humbuckers with chrome covers. Dual volume & master tone controls with gold "top hat" knobs. Pots date to '76. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included. Thunderbird is spray painted in white on the outside of the case.
