What makes this guitar special: 100% original & a magnificent player with an absolutely gorgeous voice that projects exceptionally well. The natural acousticness of the guitar resonates beautifully, although some would argue the real magic lies in the warm, rich tone of the floating neck humbucker. The guitar has been professionally set up with fresh strings & low action, so it plays & sounds marvelous.
Cosmetic Condition: Very clean for a 40 plus year old guitar, but does show some signs of mild play wear - various minor nicks, dents & dings along with light surface scratches & some tarnish on the hardware. Overall the guitar looks wonderful with a nice patina.
Neck: Slender profile maple neck with nicely aged cream binding & black side-dots. Rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl block inlays. Frets show some light wear, but have plenty of life in them. 3-ply bound headstock with mother of pearl Gibson & floral inlays. Gibson tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Florentine cutaway, hollow maple body with 7-ply bound oval soundhole, top & back. Chrome trapeze tailpiece with Howard Roberts plaque. Floating ebony bridge with 5-ply bound tortoise pickguard. Guitar weighs 6 lbs 11.7 oz.
Electronics: Floating neck humbucker - 4.25K ohms. Master volume & dual tone controls with black speed knobs. All electronics are in good working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included along with the original owner's manual, original sales receipt & original warranty cards from the previous owner.
