Description
What’s special about this guitar: This is simply an ultra cool, great playing 1978 Fender Telecaster Custom with incredible sounding pickups. The maple fingerboard is one of the cleanest we’ve seen for a Fender from this era and the guitar is remarkably lightweight at only 7lbs, 11.0oz! The pickups both sound beautiful and have that distinct vintage sound so many players are after. The neck is extremely comfortable and has that nice slender profile. Simply put, this Tele Custom has everything you’d want in a 70s Fender down to the natural finish and rare light-weight.
Condition: Great shape for its age! There are various minor surface scratches, nicks, dings, dents and chips throughout the guitar with some light buckle rash throughout the back. The fingerboard is in great shape as well and is remarkably clean. The frets have only light play wear and plenty of life in them. The neck is nice and comfortable with great action and the truss rod functions perfectly. Some areas throughout the finish have developed a great patina giving the guitar an awesome vintage look. This is most evident on the headstock. The strap buttons are unoriginal, otherwise all electronics and parts are original and in perfect working condition.
Body: Solid ash body in natural finish. Ash tray bridge with six individual saddles and the original bridge cover. Skirted black control knobs and a 4-ply black pickguard.
Neck: super comfortable, slender maple neck with a skunk stripe down the back and neck tilt adjustment at the neck heel. Maple fingerboard with black dot inlays. Fender “F” tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 5/8" nut width, 25.5” scale length.
Pickups/Electronics: Original Fender Wide Range humbucker in the neck and single-coil in the bridge. Dual volume and tone controls and a 3-way selector switch.

Bridge: 6.62K Ohms.
