Description
Cosmetic Condition: Super fine condition for a 36-year old guitar that is 100% original. The natural finish has aged marvelously into a mellow gold color & really glows. The gold finish on the hardware is still very much intact & really pops in the light. There are some minor nicks, dents & dings along with mild surface scratches throughout the guitar, but for the most part it's in great shape with a gorgeous patina.
Neck: Slender maple neck with nicely aged ivoroid binding & black side-dots. Beautiful dark rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl double parallelogram inlays. Original frets show some light wear, but have plenty of life in them. Bound headstock with gold Gibson tuners in perfect working condition. The previous owner scratched his initials & seven-digit number into the back of the headstock. 1 11/16" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod is in good working condition.
Body: Single, rounded cutaway, hollow maple body with bound F-holes. Carved maple top with 3-ply binding. There's some pretty birdseye figuring in the back of the body. Triple-loop trapeze tailpiece with ES-350-T engraved in the crossbar. ABR-1 bridge on a floating rosewood base. 5-ply black pickguard is in great shape with no cracks. Guitar weighs 6 lbs 13.5 oz.
Pickups: Gibson Pat Number humbuckers with gold covers & black bezels. Bridge - 7.80K ohms; Neck - 7.48K ohms. Dual volume & tone controls with black "top hat" knobs; 3-way toggle switch. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
