Cosmetic Condition: Great shape for its age with only minimal wear & tear - various minor nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches & light buckle rash. Some of the gold has tarnished, but for the most part is still very strong throughout the guitar. A factory second is pressed into the back of the headstock, but there are no issues with the guitar structurally or electronically. The neck is straight & plays great! Overall the guitar has a cool look to it with a gorgeous patina.
Neck: Slender maple neck with nicely aged cream binding & black side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl block inlays. Original frets are in great shape with hardly any wear. Multi-bound headstock with mother of pearl diamond inlays. Gold Gibson tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Solid mahogany body with maple cap. Multi-bound top & back. Gibson TP-6 tailpiece with Tune-O-Matic bridge & gold hardware. 5-ply black pickguard is in great shape with no cracks. Guitar weighs 10 lbs 2.2 oz.
Pickups: Original Gibson Pat Number humbuckers. All three pickups are pretty evenly matched between 7.32K & 7.55K ohms - awesome tone & sustain! Dual volume & tone controls with black 'top hat' knobs; 3-way toggle switch. Pots date to '78. All electronics are original & in perfect working condition.
Case: Original Gibson 'chainsaw' hardshell case included.
