Description
What makes this guitar special: A nice 40-year old budget grade Guild made in Westerly, RI. The D-25 is at price point that makes it very affordable, but delivers a tone that resembles something a bit more pricey. Featuring a solid spruce top & finished in classic '70s brown, this is a wonderful sounding dreadnought that plays very well thanks to a pro set up from the experts at Cream City Music.
Cosmetic Condition: Various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches & some finish wear - particularly on the back of the neck. Overall the guitar has a great, true vintage look to it with a beautiful patina.
Neck: Medium-profile mahogany neck with cream side-dots. Dark rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Frets are in great shape with hardly any wear. 3-on-a-strip tuners in good working condition. 1 11/16" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Square shoulder dreadnought body. Solid spruce top with 4-ply binding. Rosewood bridge with cream end-pins. Tortoise pickguard & multi-ring rosette. Laminated mahogany back & sides with arched back & single-ply black binding. There are no electronics & the guitar weighs 4 lbs 15.3 oz.
