Description
What makes this guitar special: An excellent player's grade Les Paul in a gorgeous Heritage Cherry sunburst finish. The neck has had some work done to it, but still feels & plays great! A pair of killer sounding T-Tops really lights up this guitar with rich, creamy tones & superb sustain. Professionally set up by Cream City Music with fresh strings & low action so it sounds amazing!
Cosmetic Condition: Great shape with some minor mods - the finish on the back of the neck was completely removed & the tuners changed to newer Grover Deluxes. It was also refretted some time ago. There are various minor nicks, dents & dings throughout the guitar, along with surface scratches, buckle rash & some finish wear on the back of the body. Overall the guitar has a great look to it & is priced accordingly to its condition.
Neck: Slender profile maple neck with cream binding & black side-dots. Beautiful, dark rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl trapezoid inlays. Unoriginal frets show some light wear, but have plenty of life in them. Unoriginal Grover Deluxe tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Solid mahogany body with plain maple top & cream binding. Stopbar tailpiece & Tune-O-Matic bridge with single-ply cream pickguard. Guitar weighs 9 lbs 8.6 oz.
Pickups: Unoriginal T-Top humbuckers with exposed coils. Bridge - 7.64K ohms; Neck - 7.39K ohms. Dual volume & tone controls with gold "top hat" knobs; 3-way toggle switch. The volume pots date to '78 & the tone pots date to '79. All electronics are in perfect working condition. The design of the T-Tops produces a warm, rich vintage tone that many players are looking for, but we noticed that running them through a super high gain amp can at times cause microphonic feedback.
Case: Later period Gibson hardshell case included.
