Description
What makes this guitar special: All original & finished in a trans cherry finish, with a smooth playing neck & smokin hot humbuckers. We usually get these in the natural finish, so it's refreshing when a cherry one pops up. Professionally set up & ready to play upon arrival.
Cosmetic Condition: Great shape for its age with some typical light play wear - various minor nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches & some mild weather checking. There's a surface crack in the treble-side of the neck heel, but it's quite stable & purely cosmetic. There's some very light "ghosting" in the top of the body, all along the treble-side edge from decals put on by the previous owner. The message says: Lean On Jesus & Everything Will Be Alright. The name Eugene is "ghosted" on the bass-side edge. Perhaps the previous owner played the guitar in church. At any rate, these images can only really been seen in certain light or under black light & are hardly noticeable. Overall the guitar looks marvelous.
Neck: Slender profile mahogany neck with nicely aged cream binding & black side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl block inlays. Frets show some light wear, but have plenty of life in them. 3-ply bound headstock with mother of pearl inlay. Hagstrom tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" nut width; 25" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Contoured, solid mahogany body with 4-ply bound top. Stop tailpiece with six-saddle adjustable bridge. 4-ply black pickguard & metal jackplate. Guitar weighs 10.5 lbs.
Electronics: Hagstrom humbuckers with black bezels. Each bezel ring has a tiny crack along with a small screw hole in the neck bezel. Dual volume & tone controls with black "witch hat" knobs. 3-way pickup toggle switch & 3-way sound filter toggle switch. All electronics are in good working condition.
Case: Unoriginal hardshell case included.
