Description
What makes this guitar special: Made for only a brief period of time between 1978 & 1981, this particular PS-10 is from the last year of production. Features include abalone body trim, mirror pickguard & truss rod cover with Paul Stanley's signature & Paul Stanley's name in the 21st fret inlay. These rarely come up for sale, but when they do, they don't last long in the shop!
Cosmetic Condition: Well played with lots of road wear - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches, buckle rash & finish wear throughout. This gorgeous guitar was love & played & it shows. An ultra cool, true vintage monster with killer good looks!
Neck: Slender profile maple neck with nicely aged ivoroid binding & black side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl & abalone block inlays. Frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Bound headstock with Paul Stanley signature on mirror truss rod cover. Ibanez Pat Pend tuners with pearloid buttons in perfect working condition. The G tuner is missing its back cover, but still functions perfectly. 1 11/16" nut width with brass insert; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod functions fine.
Body: Contoured, solid mahogany body with maple cap. Thick ivoroid binding with gorgeous abalone purfling. Top-loading tailpiece & Gibraltar bridge with adjustable brass saddles. Mirror pickguard & "holly" tailpiece decoration. Guitar weighs 9 lbs 2.8 oz.
Pickups: Ibanez V humbuckers with exposed coils. Bridge - 14.96K ohms; Neck - 15.26K ohms. Dual volume & master tone controls with black speed knobs; 3-way toggle switch. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Unoriginal coffin hardshell case included.
