Description
A 1972 Ampeg GU-12 tube combo amp in player-grade condition. This amp was a bit of a basket case when it came in, but after a replacement output transformer, speaker and a fully rebuilt power supply, it has been returned to its former glory.
The GU-12 was a departure from earlier Ampeg designs. Its complete lack of negative feedback makes for an overdrive tone full of chime-y crunch. Close your eyes, and you might assume you're playing through a Vox. The amp also offers great cleans at lower volumes, and the Reverb/Tremolo are to die for. An afforable vintage tube combo for mid-volume gigging or recording.
This amp has been cleaned and serviced. It is fully functional and sounds fantastic. No footswitch included.
