Description

Is it a Baritone? Is it a 6-string bass? The answer is yes! Super rare, all original & just recently acquired from the original owner who only played it at home. These original Danelectro Model 4623 Longhorns are highly sought after by both players & collectors alike. Super groovy & a great player thanks to a pro set up from the experts here at Cream City Music!

Cosmetic Condition: Used, but not abused with some honest, mild play wear from the original owner - various finish chips, mostly on the back of the neck & mild surface scratches throughout. Overall it's in great shape with a super cool, true vintage vibe!

Neck: Poplar neck with Brazilian rosewood fingerboard & white dot inlays. Frets are in great shape with plenty of life in them. Coke Bottle headstock with sealed tuners in good working condition. 1 3/4" nut width; 30" scale length. Neck is pretty straight & plays well up & down the fretboard.

Body: Longhorn poplar & masonite body in copper burst finish with vinyl sides. Top-loading tailpiece with simple wooden bridge & clear plexi pickguard. Weight: 7 lbs 0.5 oz.

Electronics: Dual "lipstick" single coils. Dual volume & on/off controls with concentric knobs. All electronics are in good working condition.

Case: Newer tweed hardshell case included.
