Description
100% original with an ultra cool, true vintage vibe. Featuring a Coke bottle headstock, Seal 'guard & finished in classic copper, this gorgeous Shorthorn is a definite must-have for any vintage gear nut or bass aficionado. Professionally set up & ready for action straight out of the case.
Cosmetic Condition: Cool, true vintage vibe: various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches & some finish wear with blemishes. Most of the finish has been removed from the back of the neck. Overall the bass has a great look to it with a beautiful patina.
Neck: Nicely rounded poplar neck with a Brazilian rosewood fingerboard & white dot inlays. Frets are in great shape with hardly any wear. Coke bottle headstock with open-back strip tuners. The D tuner is bent, but still functions properly. 1 5/8" width metal nut; 30" scale length.
Body: Shorthorn poplar & masonite body in copper finish. Top-loading tailpiece with simple wooden bridge & Seal pickguard. Bass weighs 5 lbs 9.4 oz.
Electronics: Single coil Lipstick pickup with 3-way toggle switch. Master volume & tone controls with cupcake knobs. Pots date to '61. All electronics are original & function. However, due to the age of the toggle switch, it is a little bit worn out & sometimes doesn't always engage right away & at times takes a bit of jiggling to connect, but it does function.
Case: Vintage two-tone hardshell case included.
