Description

An excellent player's grade Coronet offering superb tone & a comfortable feel. The P-90 single coil kicks out robust, dynamic tones & thanks to a pro set up from the experts here at Cream City Music, it will arrive at your door ready to play straight out of the case.

Cosmetic Condition: Pretty clean on the outside considering it's from 1963. There is a tiny finish chip on the headstock along with various surface scratches throughout & the pickguard has brown stain spots. The cherry finish is still quite vibrant on the back of the guitar, but has faded to more of a brown color on the top of the body. The treble-side of the pickguard had a 3-way toggle switch which acted as a tone filter for the electronics & there's a route in the body underneath it. The switch was removed & the hole in the pickguard patched. However, the route in the body is still there. Overall the guitar has a great look to it with an authentic vintage vibe & beautiful patina.

Neck: Nicely rounded, slender profile mahogany neck with cream side-dots. Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Original frets show some wear, but still have plenty of life in them. "Batwing" headstock & Kluson Deluxe strip tuners with cream buttons. 1 9/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is mostly straight & truss rod functions.

Body: Asymmetrical, solid mahogany body in cherry finish. 3-ply aged white pickguard with silver "E" emblem. Wrap-around "lightning bolt" tailpiece with nickel hardware. Guitar weighs 6 lbs 0.8 oz.

Electronics: One P-90 single coil bridge pickup with nickel "dog ear" cover. Master volume & tone controls with black "top hat" reflector knobs. Pots are original & all electronics are in good working condition. Once the toggle switch was removed, the guitar was rewired back to original spec.

Case: Original chipboard case included along with a vintage leather strap & some old Gibson strings.
