Description
The introduction of the American Standard in the mid '80s resurrected the Stratocaster, breathing new life into this iconic model. This lovely model sports the two-point fulcrum tremolo bridge & is loaded with a trio of glassy sounding single coils that deliver rich, luscious tones. Professionally set up with fresh strings & low action so it plays & sounds terrific!
Cosmetic Condition: There's a noticeable dent in the top of the body along with various surface scratches throughout, but overall the guitar is in great shape considering its age. The Olympic White finish has aged beautifully over the years & mellowed into more of an off-white, cream color with nice variegation throughout. Overall the guitar has a great vibe to it & an ultra cool look.
Neck: Maple neck with dark rosewood fingerboard & cream dot inlays. Frets show a bit of wear, but have plenty of life in them. Fender diecast tuners with double string trees. 1 11/16" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine. Neck dates to 3/4/88.
Body: Contoured, solid alder body finished in Olympic White. Two-point fulcrum tremolo bridge with stainless steel saddles & original trem arm. 3-ply white pickguard & trem cover. Guitar weighs 7 lbs 11.9 oz.
Electronics: Three Strat single coils with 5-way selector switch. The bridge pickup was dead so we replaced with a modern Fender single coil, but we included the original with the guitar. Master volume & dual tone controls with skirted knobs. Pots date to '87 & all electronics are in good working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included.
