Cosmetic Condition: Good honest play wear just the way we like them with an exceptionally cool, authentic vintage vibe - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches, weather checking & finish wear throughout. Classic cigarette burn in the headstock & tarnish on the hardware. Overall the bass looks great to us & has the right vintage look about it. In short - gorgeous with a beautiful patina.
Neck: Slender profile maple neck with Brazilian rosewood slab fingerboard & clay dot inlays. Frets show only a tiny bit of wear, but have plenty of life in them. Headstock decal is in great shape with no bits missing. Single string tree & Kluson Deluxe tuners work perfectly. 1 9/16" nut width; 30" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine. Neck stamp reads 6 MAY 62 A.
Body: Contoured, solid alder body finished in 3-Tone Sunburst. Tremolo tailpiece with original arm. Six-saddle adjustable bridge with original cover. 4-ply tortoise pickguard is in great shape with no cracks, shrinkage or warping. Tight neck/body connection. Bass weighs 9 lbs.
Electronics: Three single coils with flat pole pieces & chrome bezels. 3 on/off switches for each pickup. Master volume & tone controls. Pots date to '62 & electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original brown tolex hardshell case included. A leather & metal badge was riveted to the outside of the case. Aside from that the case is in great shape with no broken parts.
