Description
A true vintage beauty with an ultra cool look & vibe. The neck is very comfortable & plays great up & down the fretboard. Professionally set up & ready to play straight out of the case.
Cosmetic Condition: Lots of good, honest play wear - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches & some finish wear. There's a pretty good sized chunk of wood that chipped off the back of the body, bass side. The Olympic White finish has aged quite a bit over the years & mellowed into more of a yellowish/cream color with nice variegation throughout. There's a ghosting image of the initials MOS in the finish in the top of the body, Overall the bass has an authentic vintage look to it with a nice patina.
Neck: Nicely rounded & somewhat chunky maple neck with black side-dots. Rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Frets are in great shape with hardly any wear. Headstock decals are pretty clean with no bits missing. Single round string tree & open-gear nickel tuners in perfect working condition. 1 5/8" nut width; 30" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine. Neck dates to '78.
Body: Offset, solid poplar body finished in Olympic White. Top-loading bridge with double "barrel" saddles. 3-ply black pickguard with black tugbar. Bass weighs 7 lbs 9.3 oz. Great weight & very resonant with a tight neck/body connection.
Electronics: Original grey bottom single coil pickup with black cover - 5.93K ohms. Master volume & tone controls with black knobs. Both pots date to '78 & all electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original chipboard case included.
