Description
Up for sale is a super groovy '71 Mustang in 3-tone sunburst. Sporting an ultra comfy, nicely rounded maple neck that plays great up & down the fretboard. The pickups sound fantastic & deliver those signature Mustang tones. Professionally set up & ready to play upon arrival.
Cosmetic Condition: Good honest play wear - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches & some finish wear. There are two extra holes in the top of the body/pickguard where the previous owner had installed a finger rest, which has since been removed. Aside from that the guitar looks great with a cool, true vintage vibe.
Neck: Nicely rounded maple neck with black side-dots. Rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Headstock decal is in great shape with no bits missing. Single string tree & F tuners in perfect working condition. 1 5/8" nut width; 24" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine. Neck stamp reads 6 MAY 71 B.
Body: Contoured, solid alder body finished in 3-tone sunburst. Dynamic Vibrato bridge with adjustable "barrel" saddles & original trem arm included. 3-ply pearloid pickguard is in great shape with no cracks, but does have those two extra holes as previously mentioned. Guitar weighs 7 lbs 11.1 oz.
Electronics: Original Mustang single coils with black covers. Master volume & tone controls with newer knobs. Pots date to '71 & the two 3-way selector switches are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included along with the trem arm.
