Description
An excellent player's grade, true vintage P-Bass with superb tone & playability. Most of the original Olympic White finish has been removed from the body, however, there are still remnants surrounding the back edges & a little on top, but not much. Professionally set up & ready for action straight out of the case.
Cosmetic Condition: As mentioned, most of the Olympic White has been stripped off the body & the finish has been removed from the back of the neck. There are various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches, weather checking & finish wear throughout. Overall the bass has a cool vibe to it with a nice patina.
Neck: Maple neck & fingerboard with black dot inlays. Original frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Open-gear nickel tuners in good working condition. 1 5/8" nut width; 34" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Contoured, solid alder body. Top-loading bridge with four adjustable "barrel" saddles. Unoriginal 3-ply black pickguard has various signatures on it in silver marker. Bass weighs 8 lbs 15.9 oz.
Electronics: Original split single coil P-Bass pickup dates to '73. Master volume & tone controls with knurled knobs. Pots are unoriginal & all electronics are in good working condition.
Case: Unoriginal hardshell case included.
