Description

An ultra cool, true vintage '69 P-Bass with killer tone & superb feel. The neck is silky smooth & ever so comfortable to play no matter where you are in the fretboard. The split single coils sound sublime & deliver all the warmth & richness we've come to love about these iconic basses. The neck/body connection is tight with no gaps - just the way we like it! Professionally set up & ready to play straight out of the case.

Cosmetic Condition: Good honest play wear - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches, weather checking & some finish wear. Overall the bass has a great vibe to it with a beautiful patina.

Neck: Nicely rounded maple neck with gorgeous, dark rosewood fingerboard & mother of pearl dot inlays. Frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Headstock decal is in perfect condition with no bits missing. Fender open-back nickel tuners in perfect working condition. 1 5/8" nut width; 34" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod functions. Neck stamp reads 5 JUN 69 B.

Body: Contoured, solid alder body finished in 3-tone sunburst. Top-loading bridge with four adjustable saddles & original bridge cover. 4-ply tortoise pickguard with black finger rest. The pickguard has a tiny crack down by the input jack, but is in great shape otherwise. Bass weighs 9 lbs 0.8 oz.

Electronics: Period-correct P-Bass split single coils with original chrome cover. 10.63K ohms. Master volume & tone controls with knurled knobs. Pots date to '66 & all electronics are in perfect working condition.

Case: Original hardshell case included. The chrome portion of the Fender emblem is missing from the outside of the case & a few of the rivets are missing from the back hinges, but the case is solid & functions well.
