Description
An ultra cool, '84 Strat finished in the always popular Candy Apple Red. Featuring a trio of superb sounding single coils & the very brief Freeflyte vibrato bridge. These 2-knob era Strats always seem to get a bad rap, but this one is actually a really great playing guitar, thanks to a pro set up from the experts here at Cream City Music.
Cosmetic Condition: Good honest play wear for its age - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches & some finish wear. Overall the guitar has a cool vintage vibe to it with a gorgeous patina.
Neck: Nicely rounded, wide-profile maple neck with skunk stripe & black side-dots. The neck does show some light flame figuring. Maple fingerboard with black dot inlays. Frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Double string trees & Fender sealed tuners in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine. Neck dates to '84.
Body: Contoured, solid alder body finished in Candy Apple Red. Top-loading Freeflyte tremolo bridge with adjustable saddles & original trem arm. Single-ply cream pickguard & chrome hardware. Guitar weighs 8 lbs 6 oz.
Electronics: Three single coils pickups. The middle pickup appears to be unoriginal.
Bridge - 6.09K ohms; Middle - 6.06K ohms; Neck - 6.08K ohms. Master volume & tone controls with 5-way selector switch. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included. The middle clasp broke off but is included with the guitar.
