Description

100% original & just recently acquired from the second owner who purchased it from the original owner back in 1962 when it was only a few years old! The original owner was country music artist Johnny Carver. This fabulous Strat is a dynamite player offering exquisite tone & an ultra cool, true vintage vibe! Fully inspected & professionally set up ready to play straight out of the case.

Cosmetic Condition: Used, but certainly not abused, with signs of typical play wear - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches, weather checking & some finish wear. Overall the guitar has a great look to it with a gorgeous patina.

Neck: C-shaped maple neck with 7.25" radius maple fingerboad & black dot inlays. Frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Headstock decals are in great shape with no bits missing. Kluson Deluxe tuners & single string tree. 1 5/8" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine. Tight neck/body connection.

Body: Contoured, solid alder body finished in 3-tone sunburst. Tremolo bridge with bent saddles. Original trem arm & bridge cover included. Single-ply white pickguard & trem cover with no cracks in either of them. Guitar weighs a delightful 7 lbs 4.9 oz & is exceptionally resonant!

Electronics: Three black bottom single coils with staggered poles & original 3-way selector switch. Master volume & dual tone controls with white skirted knobs. Pots date to '59 & all electronics are in perfect working condition.

Case: Original tweed hardshell case included along with the original strap.
