Description
A fabulous Tele Custom with dynamite tone & superb feel. The neck is silky smooth to play, offering effortless comfort up & down the fretboard. The body is quite resonant & really rings out even before the guitar is plugged in. The Wide Range neck humbucker delivers warm, rich tones & the spanky twang of the bridge single coil compliments the neck pickup exceptionally well. Professionally inspected & set up by the experts at Cream City Music, so it's ready to play straight out of the case!
Cosmetic Condition: Good honest play wear with an ultra cool, true vintage vibe - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches, weather checking & some finish wear. Overall the guitar looks really cool with a beautiful patina.
Neck: Nicely rounded maple neck & fingerboard with black dot inlays. Professionally refretted with medium jumbo frets that show a bit of wear, but have plenty of life in them. Bullet truss rod & double string trees with unoriginal vintage-style tuners. 1 5/8" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine. The neck/body connection is a tight fit without that typical '70s gap.
Body: Solid alder body in original black finish with 3-ply black pickguard. There's a chip out of the bottom corner of the pickguard near the control knobs. String-thru bridge with three adjustable saddles & original bridge cover included. Guitar weighs 8 lbs 5.4 oz.
Electronics: Original Fender Wide Range neck humbucker & bridge single coil with 3-way toggle switch. Dual volume & tone controls with black "witch hat" knobs. Pots date to '73 & all electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included. The left clasp is missing & the right one is a bit bent, but still manages to close.
