Description
A dynamite player with an ultra cool, true vintage vibe! A gorgeous beast with killer tone & superb feel. The combination blonde finish & maple neck looks fantastic & has just the right amount of good, honest play wear from years of being gigged with. Professionally inspected & set up by the experts here at Cream City Music, so it's ready for action straight out of the case.
Cosmetic Condition: Folks pay a lot of money to have Fender relic their guitars in the custom shop, but this beauty is the real deal my friends - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches, weather checking & some finish wear. The blonde finish as has beautifully over the years & mellowed into more of a golden color. Great vibe with a beautiful patina.
Neck: Nicely rounded, semi-chunky maple neck with black dot inlays. Original frets are in great shape with not a lot of wear. Bullet truss rod & single round string tree. Headstock decal is in great shape with no bits missing. Fender open-gear "clover" tuners. 1 11/16" nut width; 34" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine. Neck stamp reads 23 DEC 72 B.
Body: Solid ash body in original Blonde finish that has aged beautifully over the decades. String-thru bridge with two adjustable "barrel" saddles & original bridge cover. The foam underneath the bridge cover has pretty much deteriorated. 3-ply aged white pickguard with black tugbar. Bass weighs 9 lbs 8.7 oz.
Electronics: Wide Range neck humbucker with Fender-engraved cover. Master volume & tone controls with knurled knobs. Pots date to '72 & all electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included.
