Description
What makes this guitar special: Made for only a brief moment between '85 & '86, featuring a unique futuristic Explorer-like body, Kahler tremolo & loaded with a pair of dynamite sounding Gibson Pat No. humbuckers. These are quite rare & don't come around very often, making them the perfect addition to any Gibson aficionado's collection.
Cosmetic Condition: Well-worn & perfectly aged, just the way we like 'em - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches, weather checking & some finish wear. The white finish has aged dramatically over the years & turned more yellow, showing lot of variegation throughout. There's a rectangular "ghosting" image on the back of the body, most likely from a previous decal. Overall the guitar has a super cool vibe to it with a gorgeous patina.
Neck: Slender profile maple neck with cream side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Unoriginal Grover tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Solid mahogany body with single-ply black pickguard. USA Kahler tremolo bridge with adjustable roller saddles & trem arm included. Unoriginal strap buttons. Guitar weighs 8 lbs 3.7 oz.
Electronics: Gibson Pat No humbuckers with exposed coils & black bezels. Bridge - 15.43K ohms; Neck - 15.38K ohms. Master volume & tone controls with gold speed knobs; 3-way toggle switch. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included. The case is in good shape, but the handle was replaced.
