Description
A dynamite player with an ultra cool, true vintage vibe! The full size neck humbucker offers a warm, rich tone & the short scale makes playing tons of fun. Professionally set up & ready to play straight out of the case.
Cosmetic Condition: Various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches, weather checking & some finish wear. There's a minor headstock crack on the treble side that was professionally glued & is very stable. There are extra holes in the pickguard & top of the body from previous tugbars. There is also a 2 pressed into the back of the headstock, indicating the bass was a factory second. Overall the bass has a great look to it with a nice patina.
Neck: Semi-chunky, one-piece mahogany neck with cream side-dots. Beautiful rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Frets show a bit of wear, but have plenty of life in them. Open-gear nickel tuners with "clover" buttons. 1 11/16" nut width; 30 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod functions fine.
Body: One-piece, solid mahogany body with 3-ply black pickguard. There's a crack in one corner & a small piece missing in the other corner of the pickguard. Top-loading bridge & string mute with new foam pad. There's an extra screw hole from a previous strap button on the bass-side horn. Bass weighs 7 lbs 0.8 oz.
Electronics: Original full-sized neck humbucker with chrome cover. Master volume & tone controls with black "top hat" reflector knobs. Pots date to '72 & '72 & all electronics are in good working condition.
Case: Original Gibson chipboard case included.
