Made for only a brief time from the late '30s into the early '40s, this gorgeous EH-150 lap steel features a super chunk rounded maple neck & maple body with some gorgeous flame & birdseye figuring under the classic sunburst finish. The single "Charlie Christian" pickup sounds terrific & the original hardshell case is included!
Cosmetic Condition: Wonderful condition considering it's over 80 years old! Various little nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches & weather checking. Overall the lap steel looks great & has an authentic vintage vibe with a beautiful patina.
Neck: Super beefy rounded maple neck with cream binding. Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays & cream fret lines. Mother of pearl Gibson script inlay & Grover open-back tuners. 3/8" high metal nut & 22 1/2" scale length.
Body: Maple body with cream top binding. The back portion of the body is thinner & held on by 12 screws. Top-loading bridge with simple metal saddle. Lap steel weighs 6 lbs 4.1 oz.
Electronics: Charlie Christian single coil pickup with 3 staples for the treble side & 1 longer blade on the bass side. Master volume & tone controls with Bakelite knobs. All electronics are in good working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included.
