Description
A real road warrior & it shows! Recently acquired from the original owner who was a touring musician supporting a multitude of country artists since the early 1960's. This J-50 has seen it all. A little rough around the edges, but still sings a beautiful song. Professionally set up & ready to perform straight out of the case.
Cosmetic Condition: Lots & lots of play wear - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches, weather checking, tops cracks & some finish wear. Some type of tite-bond/epoxy was applied to the top, where the fingerboard joins the body & around the soundhole. There's even a little bit on the first fret of the fingerboard. Overall the guitar has a true vintage look to it with a cool, well-played vibe & authentic patina.
Neck: Mahogany neck with cream side-dots. Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Frets show wear, but are still playable. Unoriginal Grover tuners work great. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod functions.
Body: Double-bound, round shoulder dreadnought in natural finish. Solid spruce top with tortoise pickguard & multi-ring rosette. Plastic bridge with adjustable ceramic saddle & cream end pins. Solid mahogany back & sides. There are no electronics & the guitar weighs 4 lbs 10.5 oz.
Case: Unoriginal hardshell case included.
