Description
A small-body acoustic with the full Gibson sound - developed in the 30's, the L-00 was an industry standard for many years. This Ebony version beautifully captures the heritage of those exemplary early models. With perfect balance, the L-00 has unparalleled projection not found in comparable small body guitars. Professionally set up with fresh strings & low action, so it plays & sounds fantastic!
Cosmetic Condition: There's a professionally repaired top crack that runs from behind the bridge to the bottom edge. It has been glued & cleated. There's also a very tiny crack in the soundhole. Various surface scratches along with some minor nicks, dents & dings.
Neck: V-shaped mahogany neck with cream binding & black side-dots. Rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Frets are in great shape with practically no wear. Vintage-style script headstock logo & nickel tuners. 1 11/16" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Double-bound small body finished in Ebony. Solid spruce top with firestripe pickguard & 3-ring rosette. Rosewood bridge with cream end pins. Solid mahogany back & sides. There are no electronics & the guitar weighs 3 lbs 12.8 oz.
Case: Original hardshell case included along with leather Gibson strap. The clasp is missing from the bottom latch, but the others are fine as is the combination lock.
