Description

An absolutely gorgeous sounding L-48 featuring a mahogany top & sides with an arched maple back. With a bright, powerful voice & super comfy neck, this beautiful archtop is a real joy to play. Professionally inspected & set up ready to play straight out of the case.

Cosmetic Condition: Great shape for being over 70 years old with typical play wear - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches, weather checking & some light finish touch-ups from a previous pickup mounting. Overall the guitar has a wonderful, authentic vintage vibe to it with a beautiful patina.

Neck: Nicely rounded, semi-chunky mahogany neck with cream side-dots. Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Frets are in great shape with just a little bit of wear. A different set of strip tuners was previously on the guitar as evidenced by the imprint left behind, but the guitar is currently fitted with a vintage set of Kluson Deluxe tuners. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & plays well up & down the fretboard.

Body: Double-bound archtop with dual F-holes. Mahogany top in sunburst finish. Nickel trapeze tailpiece & compensated rosewood bridge on a floating rosewood base. Long tortoise pickguard. Mahogany sides & arched maple back. There are no electronics & the guitar weighs 4 lbs 7.2 oz.

Case: Chipboard case included.
