Cosmetic Condition: Just recently acquired from the family of the original owner who kept it in pretty good shape for the past 50 plus years - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches, weather checking & some mild finish wear. There's an extra screw hole in the upper part of the body from a previous strap button. Overall the guitar has a great look to it with an authentic vintage vibe & gorgeous patina.
Neck: 3-piece mahogany neck with nicely aged cream binding & tortoise side-dots. Rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl trapezoid inlays. Original frets are in good shape with just a bit of wear. Gibson Deluxe tuners with double-ring Keystone buttons. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works perfectly.
Body: Solid mahogany "sandwich" body with maple top in original Gold finish with cream binding. Stopbar tailpiece with unoriginal ABR-1 bridge. The original bridge is included with the guitar, but had begun to sink in the middle over the years, so it isn't as perfectly playable anymore. Single-ply cream pickguard & metal jackplate. Guitar weighs 9 lbs 6.6 oz.
Electronics: Original mini humbuckers with cream bezels. Dual volume & tone controls with gold "top hat" knobs; 3-way toggle switch. Pot codes are difficult to read, but all electronics are original & in good working condition.
Case: Vintage hardshell case included.
