Description
We've had plenty of Standards in the shop over the years, but how often do you come across one from '87 finished in White! Super cool & super rare! Aside from the upgraded tuners & Seymour Duncan bridge humbucker, the guitar is all original & a dynamite player thanks to a pro set up from the experts here at Cream City Music!
Cosmetic Condition: Used, but not abused, with signs of typical play wear for its age - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches, mild buckle rash & some tarnish on the gold hardware. The white finish has aged beautifully over the years & mellowed into more of a cream color with nice variegation throughout. Overall the guitar has a great look to it with an ultra cool vibe & gorgeous patina.
Neck: Slim taper mahogany neck with nicely aged cream binding & black side-dots. Dark rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl trapezoid inlays. Frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Unoriginal Grover Rotomatic tuners with gold Keystone buttons. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works perfectly.
Body: Solid mahogany body with maple cap & cream binding. Stopbar tailpiece & Tune-O-Matic bridge with gold hardware. Single-ply cream pickguard & brass jackplate. Guitar weighs 9 lbs 3.2 oz.
Electronics: Original Gibson Pat No. neck humbucker & unoriginal Seymour Duncan bridge humbucker with cream bezels & gold covers. Dual volume & tone controls with gold speed knobs; 3-way toggle switch. Pots date to '87 & all electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included.
