An excellent player's grade Melody Maker D with the addition of a Bigsby tremolo. Everything else on the guitar is straight though & it sounds awesome thanks to a pro set up from the experts here at Cream City Music.
Cosmetic Condition: Various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches, weather checking & some finish wear. Overall the guitar has a cool look to it with an authentic vintage vibe & beautiful patina.
Neck: Nicely rounded mahogany neck that gets chunkier as you work your way up to the body. Beautifully figured rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays & cream side-dots. Frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Kluson Deluxe strip tuners with cream buttons. 1 11 1/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Double-bound, solid mahogany body with sunburst finish top. Unoriginal Bigsby tremolo tailpiece with original wrap-around, compensated nickel bridge. Single-ply black pickguard with white Melody Maker logo. Guitar weighs 7 lbs 6.6 oz.
Electronics: Two Melody Maker single coils with 3-way toggle switch. Dual volume & tone controls with gold "top hat" knobs. Pots date to '63 & all electronics are in good working condition.
Case: Unoriginal tweed hardshell case included.
