Description
Made for only a brief moment in the mid to late '70s, this Mark Series flat-top features a solid spruce top with rosewood back & sides. Professionally inspected & set up ready to play straight out of the case.
Cosmetic Condition: Various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches, weather checking & some finish wear. There's a crack in the treble-side of the body, lower bout (glued) & a crack in the top, near the bass-side of the bridge (glued & cleated). Both cracks were professionally repaired by us.
Neck: Flame maple neck with black binding & abalone side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with abalone block inlays. Frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Bound headstock with old-style script inlaid logo. Gibson-embossed diecast tuners with gold hardware. 1 11/16" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. The finish is disturbed around the heel, so it's possible the neck was reset at some point. However, the neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Double-bound asymmetrical classical-style body shape. Solid spruce top with single-ply black pickguard & black plastic soundhole surround. Ebony asymmetrical bridge & ebony bridge pins with mother of pearl dot inlays. The bridge was reglued & the bridge plate is a bit worn. Solid rosewood back & sides. There are no electronics & the guitar weighs 5 lbs 3.3 oz.
Case: Unoriginal hardshell case included.
