Description

Handcrafted in the Bozeman, Montana factory in 1992 by Ren Ferguson & John Walker, this gorgeous Prototype A was built as a gift to Richard (Dobro Dick) Diloff, as a thank you for his assistance in bringing this all-time first, artist endorsement model Nick Lucas back into Gibson's lineup. This statement is in a letter by Ren Ferguson & is included with the guitar.

Cosmetic Condition: Used, but not abused, with some play wear - various nicks, dents & dings; scratches & quite a bit of weather checking. Overall the guitar has a great look to it with a super cool vibe.

Neck: V-shaped mahogany neck with nicely aged white binding & black side-dots. Rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl inlays. Frets are in great shape with hardly any wear. Mother of pearl Gibson script logo & Fleur-de-lis headstock inlays. Kluson Deluxe tuners with Butterbean buttons. 1 3/4" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works perfectly.

Body: Double-bound, small body acoustic in sunburst finish. Solid spruce top with Firestripe pickguard with bound soundhole & 3-ply rosette. Rosewood bridge with cream end pins & compensated saddle. Solid maple back & sides with gorgeous flame figuring. Guitar weighs 4 lbs 3.3 oz.

Electronics: An after-market K&K Pure Mini was professionally installed back in 2010.

Case: Original hardshell case included.
