A really wonderful player's grade, vintage SG Special. The original finish was stripped off a long time ago & all the hardware is newer, however, the electronics are all original - that is the pickups & pots. Set up & ready to play upon arrival.
Cosmetic Condition: As previously mentioned, the original finish was stripped off quite some time ago & the hardware replaced. Cosmetically it's in good shape with various minor nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches & some finish wear.
Neck: Slender profile mahogany neck with nicely aged cream binding & tortoise side-dots. Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Frets are in great shape with hardly any wear. Repro Kluson Deluxe tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 9/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod is in good working condition.
Body: Contoured, solid mahogany body. Repro tremolo tailpiece & compensated bridge. Unoriginal, single-ply black pickguard. Guitar weighs 7 lbs 3.9 oz.
Electronics: Original P-90 single coils with black "soap bar" covers. Bridge - 7.79K ohms; Neck - 7.86K ohms. Dual volume & tone controls with black "top hat" knobs; 3-way toggle switch. Pots date to '65 & all electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Unoriginal hardshell case included.
