Description
These old Rallies are some of the most popular vintage Gretsches on the market & never seem to last long in the shop. This one's a great player with a beautiful, natural acoustic resonance to it. Professionally set up with fresh strings & low action, so it's ready to play straight out of the case.
Cosmetic Condition: Various nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches, weather checking & some finish wear. The guitar has an authentic vintage vibe & nice patina.
Neck: Nicely rounded maple neck with aged cream binding & red side-dots. Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl "thumbnail" & dot inlays. Frets are in great shape with just a tiny bit of wear & plenty of life in them. Open-gear nickel tuners work perfectly. 1 11/6" nut width with zero fret; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine. There's a tiny chip out of the bottom corner of the truss rod cover.
Body: Double-bound, hollow maple body with dual F-holes. Bigsby tremolo tailpiece with Space Control bridge. Copper plexi pickguard with racing stripes. The top is finished in Bamboo Yellow & the back & sides are finished in Copper Mist. Guitar weighs 6 lbs 14.7 oz.
Electronics: Dual HiloTron single coils with silver bezels. 3-way pickup & tone selector switches. Master volume & individual pickup volume controls. 9-volt battery compartment in the back of the body for Sonic Boom along with its own switch & volume control. All electronics are in good working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included.
