Description
What makes this guitar special: A superb playing & sounding jumbo, delivering a broad, massive tone. Free of any cracks, breaks or repairs, this gorgeous JF-30 purely demonstrates what a jumbo should look & sound like. And because it's from the first year of production for this model, it makes an excellent addition to any Guild aficionado's collection.
Cosmetic Condition: Used, but not abused, with typical play wear for being just over 30 years old - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches, pick wear & mild finish wear. Overall the guitar has a great look to it with a gorgeous patina.
Neck: Flame maple neck with cream side-dots. Rosewood fingerboard with pearloid dot inlays. Frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Mother of pearl Guild & Chesterfield headstock inlays. Grover Rotomatic tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Double-bound jumbo body in natural finish. Solid spruce top with rosewood bridge & cream end-pins. There's an ever so tiny gap between the back of the bridge & the top, barely enough to slide a single piece of paper into. The bridge is quite firmly attached to the top with no playability issues. Large tortoise pickguard & multi-ring rosette. Flame maple back & sides with lots of gorgeous variegation in the wood. Guitar weighs 5 lbs 10.1 oz & there are no electronics.
Case: Unoriginal Fender hardshell case included.
