Description
100% original & just recently acquired from the original owner. This super cool, second version of Guild's M-80 features a 24-fret neck & loaded with a pair of muscular, yet dynamic sounding Guild XR-7 humbuckers with phase switch. All wrapped up in a sleek black finish, this beauty has been professionally set up by us & is ready for action straight out of the case - also original & very cool looking!
Cosmetic Condition: Good honest play wear typical of its age - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches & some finish wear. There are various light pattern impressions in the body finish, mostly on the back, but a few on the top as well. They appear to be caused by a chemical reaction from a strap perhaps or a cable that was in the case when the guitar was brand new. Overall the guitar has a great look to it with a cool, authentic vintage vibe & nice patina.
Neck: Maple neck with cream side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Frets show a tiny bit of wear, but have plenty of life in them. Mother of pearl Guild & Chesterfield headstock inlays. Guild diecast tuners in good working condition. 1 5/8" width brass nut; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Double-cutaway, solid mahogany body with maple top. Stopbar tailpiece with adjustable bridge & roller saddles. Guitar weighs 9 lbs 5.5 oz.
Electronics: Guild XR-7 humbuckers with black bezels. Dual volume & tone controls with black speed knobs. 3-way pickup toggle & 2-way mini toggle for out of phase. All electronics are in good working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included along with the original owner's manual & key.
