Description

What makes this guitar special? This is a super cool vintage Hagstrom with a unique electronics setup and a killer old-school look. The most noticeable features of this guitar are the line of switches that swoop under the pickups. The first three represent on/off switches for each pickup, making it incredibly intuitive to select which pickups you’d like to use but also adds in a few extra combinations that the standard 5-way switch doesn’t cover, such as a combo of the neck & bridge, or all pickups simultaneously engaged. The next three are composed of a tone switch to roll off the highs, a mute switch which acts like a small pad, and the last tone switch which acts like a high-pass filter. With the addition of a vibrato tailpiece on top of all that, as well as the main on/off which can act like a kill switch, this setup offers supreme control over this vintage axe. In addition, the pickups are rich with vintage charm, the slim neck is incredibly easy to play, and the Sunburst finish rounds out what is ultimately one well-defined Swedish instrument.

Condition: This guitar is in very good condition overall. It does possess various nicks, dings, dents, scuffs, chips, and scratches, but largely remains clean, especially for its age. The frets show only light to mild wear and still have a ton of life left in them. The neck is straight and the truss rod is functioning.

Body: Double cutaway solid body in Sunburst finish. 4-ply black pickguard. Fixed bridge with individually adjustable saddles and vibrato tailpiece.

Neck: Slim D shape neck and rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot inlays. Sealed nickel tuning machines. 1 9/16” nut width. 24.75” scale.

Electronics: Hagstrom single-coil pickups. 1 x master on/off, 1 x neck pickup on/off switch, 1 x middle pickup on/off switch, 1 x bridge pickup on/off switch, 1 x 2-way tone switch, 1 x 2-way mute switch, 1 x 2-way top switch. 1 x master volume control.

Neck: 6.17k Ohms

Middle: 7.54 k Ohms

Bridge: 7.87k Ohms

Weight: 7 lbs 5 oz

Playability/Sound: The slim neck on this guitar has a great feel in hand and is very easy to move around on regardless of playing style. The pickups have a ton of classic single-coil jangle, and between the pickup switches, tone switches, and vibrato, provide a fantastic range of control over this axe.

Case: Includes hardshell case.
