Description

A super-cool Marshall/Metropoulos Super Lead 100 clone. This head started out as a 1993 100-watt Marshall chassis. This amp was stripped down, leaving only the metal chassis, power transformer, choke, and a few filter capacitors. The amp was then rebuilt to original 1967 Plexi specs by vintage Marshall guru, George Metropoulos. This included a Metroamp vintage Dagnall clone output transformer and the addition of the Metroamp Zero-Loss effects loop. Aside from the FX loop, all circuitry is hand-wired on turret board, in accordance to the orignal Marshall layout. All signal capacitors are Sozo "Mustard" reissues, and the tubes are fresh Mullard reissues.

In order to complement the plexi-era circuitry, the chassis was finally paired up with an original vintage Marshall big box head cabinet. The result is a beautiful re-make of a vintage classic. It retains the look of a true original without the inherent reliability concerns (and price tag) of a 50-year-old amp. Needless to say the sound is absolutely huge! This one-of-a-kind amplifier includes the original work receipt from Metropoulos Amplification. It has been cleaned and serviced and is guaranteed fully functional.
